About Total Cyclery

Total Cyclery is a second-generation, family-owned bicycle shop in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Founded in 1986 by Marty Gauss, the shop was run alongside his wife, Caroline, until 2014, when leadership passed to their son, Robby. For decades, the Gauss family has been deeply rooted in the local cycling scene; Marty spent years coaching, wrenching for, and supporting Kenosha-area racers- including his two sons- while maintaining a steadfast commitment to everyday retail customers.

Growing up in the shop, Robby Gauss learned early on how to service every type of bicycle and connect riders with the perfect equipment for their needs.

“My dad treated every customer like they were the most important person in the world,” Robby says. “It didn’t matter if someone needed a simple flat tire repaired, if they were looking for a bike to ride around town, or if a champion racer wanted a new high-performance race bike built up, my dad always put his whole focus on the job to make sure each and every rider had the best experience.”

That old-school service ethic remains the cornerstone of the business today. Now recognized as Kenosha’s premier family-owned bicycle repair shop, Total Cyclery continues to welcome every bike and every rider. Robby recently expanded the shop's offerings by bringing on the Cannondale and Giant product lines, pairing modern inventory with the trusted traditions established by his parents.

“Our family’s shop has played a role in making Kenosha a biking town,” says Robby. “We are proud of that and we look forward to helping more people enjoy their bikes.”
